@marietta_makeup advises: First, focus on the roots of your lashes, brushing the mascara into the root of your lashes with a slow, zigzag motion. Try to slowly pull your lashes upwards as much as possible, accelerating only at the very tip. This will lift your lashes from the very root (similar to hair mousse – to lift them, apply the mousse primarily to the crown of your head, not the ends of your hair). The dynamics of your movements are crucial – brushing at the roots and pulling should be as slow as possible, and accelerating at the tips will ensure you don’t leave too much mascara on them. Lashes painted this way will be lifted and visibly thickened along their entire length, while they will taper nicely and naturally at the tips.
